1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18+ and legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

3. Public profiles, sharing, and visibility

The Service enables you to create a dating profile that may be publicly accessible via a shareable link and QR code. When your account is active:

Your profile may be viewable by anyone on the internet.
People may access your profile without creating an account.
By default, visitors without an account will only see your main photo.
Others may share your profile link/QR code, screenshot, copy, or repost content. We cannot control what others do with publicly accessible information.

If you do not want information to be public, do not add it to your profile.

4. Pause, deletion, and account controls

Pause

You may pause your account to hide your profile from public viewing. While paused, certain features may be limited. We may need a short period of time to reflect changes across caches and systems.

Immediate deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion is intended to occur immediately, though limited information may persist temporarily in backups, security logs, or as required by law.

5. User content

“User Content” includes information and content you submit through the Service (such as photos, bios, messages, and other profile details).

You own your User Content as between you and us, subject to the license you grant below.
You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights needed to post it.

License to operate the Service

You grant My Date Link a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and modify (e.g., resize/format) your User Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or abuse others, or encourage violence.
Post content that is hateful, pornographic, or sexually explicit, or that depicts minors, violence, or non-consensual acts.
Post content that infringes another party’s rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity).
Impersonate others, misrepresent your identity, or create accounts for someone else.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization (hacking, credential stuffing).
Scrape, crawl, harvest, or mass-collect data from the Service (including public profiles) without our written permission.
Use bots or automation to create accounts, send messages, or interact with the Service in a way that disrupts it.

7. Safety, reporting, and moderation

We may provide tools to report, block, or flag users and content. We may review reports and take action at our discretion, including removing content, restricting features, pausing visibility, or terminating accounts.

We are not responsible for the conduct of users online or offline. Use good judgment and prioritize your safety when meeting others.

8. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellations

Some features may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (Stripe).

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
Billing: You authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees and applicable taxes.
Cancellation: You can cancel at any time in your account settings. If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period (unless stated otherwise in the Service).
Refunds: Unless required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Changes apply to future billing periods.

9. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party services (for example, payment processing, analytics, error tracking, image hosting, or location search/geocoding). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that you will find matches or successful connections.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Date Link will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the Service, (b) interactions with other users, or (c) unauthorized access to or use of our systems.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless My Date Link from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless prohibited by law.
